“KazAgro/KazFarm is an excellent platform for the exhibitors to launch their products, establish new contacts as well as find new business deals in Kazakhstan.” said Natalya Nesterenko, Kazakhstan’s market manager for NDTO. “This year’s event will further cement the relationship our two regions’ have been cultivating over the last six years.”

Kazakhstan has become an attractive market for North Dakota exporters, with the strongest interests from suppliers of agricultural machinery and livestock.

This year, the North Dakota Trade Office, along with five North Dakota companies and organizations, will host the NDTO Booth and Exhibit at KazAgro/KazFarm.

North Dakota organizations attending include:  Archmec; Brandt Holdings; RDO Equipment; Superior, Inc.; North Dakota State University. These organizations represent the cattle, grain storage and handling, agriculture equipment and education industries.

“North Dakota and Kazakhstan have many similarities,” said NDTO Executive Director Dean Gorder.  “Our commonalities in agriculture – we till the same soil, grow the same crops and are challenged by similar weather conditions – create significant partnership opportunities between our regions.”

GDP growth in Kazakhstan has been stable in the last five years, with a rate higher than nine percent.  Agriculture accounts for more than 10 percent of the total GDP.  The land is largely arable, agriculture is a main focus and the economy is strong.

In 2010, more than 200 exhibitors from 13 countries participated in KazAgro/ KazFarm, making the show the largest agribusiness event in Astana.

The show is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Astana City Administration and National Holding KAZAGRO.
