Meet international buyers at Big Iron 2008

Participate in the 2008 Big Iron Farm Show’s International Visitors Program and you will gain access to pre-qualified equipment buyers from throughout the world.

The North Dakota Trade Office and U.S. Commercial Service are identifying and recruiting equipment buyers from high-demand foreign markets to attend the Big Iron Farm Show and develop business ties with the world’s most innovative farm equipment manufacturers and dealers. The 28th annual Big Iron Farm Show and International Visitors Program will be held Sept. 8-11, 2008.

Our guests will include key equipment distributors in Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other Former Soviet Union states where free-market economies are fueling great investment in large-scale agriculture production. Our guests will also include buyers from Canada and other countries where farmers are in need of the very types of equipment built and sold in North Dakota. International guests are currently registering to attend Big Iron’s International Visitors Program and are indicating strong demand for not only agriculture equipment, but a broad spectrum of agricultural products and services.

Big Iron, held in West Fargo, features more than 800 exhibitors and attracts more than 70,000 national and international visitors each year.

Events planned for Big Iron’s international visitors include:

  • Welcome ceremony hosted by Doosan Infracore/Bobcat Chairman Yongmaan Park and Gov. John Hoeven
  • Free admission to farm management workshops presented by nationally recognized agricultural scientists from North Dakota State University
  • Exclusive access to the Big Iron Farm Show’s International Guest Pavilion complete with Internet access, refreshments and meeting space
  • Daily equipment demonstrations
  • Free meals and local transportation to Big Iron and other events
  • Daily translation services
