Introduction to The Riddle of the Exporter

The Riddle of the Exporter is an engaging program to help you learn the necessities of exporting. But this isn't your average training, no! Meet Elyse Eriksson, or should I say, Betty Sue, she is the queen of exporting and will introduce you to her friends and serve as your guide to learning the exporting process.

As an NDTO member, you have exclusive access to this event as part of your membership.  If you are not yet an NDTO member, registration per company is $250.

Who Should Attend:

Business owners interested in exporting and employees who have direct relations to your companies exporting goals.

What You'll Learn:

An 8-Step Process to help you succeed in Exporting. Topics include getting started to market research, market entry, legal, compliance, transportation, payments/financing and cultural considerations.

Why is this Training is Different:

This training is built specifically for entrepreneurs by an entrepreneur. It uses gamification and adult learning techniques to help you absorb the information rather than another "death by PowerPoint" training.

Want More?:

This introductory training is meant as just that, introductory. NDTO is offering two full training courses with The Riddle of the Exporter's full 8-step program.  Sign up for either the Live in Fargo on March 23, 2022 or the Live Online training from April-May. Corporate COffee Break: Doing Business Globally in a Time of Trade Tensions

April 20, 2021

Focus: Education, Partner Event

While the focus remains on ending the global pandemic, U.S. trade disputes with China and other countries continue to impact the economy and may even be impacting the U.S. response to the health crisis in negative ways.

The ongoing trade war between the United States and China has not only imposed tariffs on billions of dollars of goods, but it has brought to the surface long-simmering disputes regarding unfair trade practices. With negotiations between the countries proving difficult even with the change in administration, U.S. businesses looking to thrive during the current economic environment are evaluating their import, export, and supply-chain practices with increasing scrutiny and creativity.

This discussion will examine:

  • how trade relations, not only with China — but also with new changes in the UK/EU landscape — have affected American businesses in the global marketplace
  • recent changes in customs practices and court rulings
  • how successful businesses are responding to these new developments
