Are you looking at selling your machinery into the European Union? Confused about regulations and how to perform a Hazard and Risk Analysis – the core of the required CE Mark? Bring your machinery on-site and let us help you with a two-day, hands-on trade talk with an actual assessment of your company’s equipment.
The Hazard and Risk Analysis is part of the European Commission’s Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, a directive that governs the essential safety and health requirements for machinery in the European Union (EU). The results of the Hazard and Risk Analysis identifies actions that need to be taken to satisfy EU requirements.
Join us on May 22 & 23, 2018 as Machinery Directive expert Geoff Oliver shares his simple, well-tried techniques for conducting a Hazard and Risk Analysis. Geoff is a highly experienced European design engineer who has previously worked as the certification manager of a well-known organization holding European Union Notified Body status under the Machinery, ATEX, Medical Devices, Noise, Low Voltage and EMC Directives.
Six participating companies will be provided with outdoor space to bring one of their own pieces of equipment. Each company’s team will be performing the Hazard and Risk Analysis on their equipment in accordance with the Essential Health and Safety Requirements of Annex 1 Part 1 of the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC.
Attendees will learn how to reduce risk and how to translate findings of the assessment into requirements for design based on EU standards. Attendees will also learn if they can self-certify their products and issue signed Declarations of Conformity or Incorporation with the Machinery Directive.
