The North Dakota Trade Office (NDTO) will be hosting a China–North Dakota reverse trade mission focused on identity-preserved (IP) soybeans on August 28-31, 2017. The trade mission will gather Chinese vetted buyers and North Dakota food grade soybean companies for promotional activities. This reverse trade mission is a follow up to NDTO’s ‘Better for You Food Ingredients’ Conference and Exhibition held each year in China.
The China–North Dakota reverse trade mission will collaborate with the Bean Products Committee of China and the USDA FAS China – Agricultural Trade Office in Beijing, and is sponsored by the North Dakota Soybean Council. Mission activities will include educational programs on food-grade IP soybeans at the Northern Crops Institute, meetings and tours with soybean producers and processors, and a round table discussion on China’s food soybean industry and government regulations on soybean importing.
The mission seeks to promote North Dakota food grade soybean companies and their products, and to develop commercial relationships with soy foods and food ingredients buyers and users in China.
